"WHAT IS SHE THINKING" I yelled as Val drove over to Jon's and Hannah's house.

"I mean, its very evident he loves her so much, and I don't know what her problem is"

I've never been mad at Hannah. Irritated, never mad. But this had really upset me. I had to drag myself out of my bliss, and talk her into say yes. I knew she loved him so much. I knew her answer was caused by nervousness, stress, moodiness, and well pregnancy.

"Babe, maybe there's something else wrong" Val said driving as fast he can to their house.

"no, her and Jon have been together for 3 years now, she had to expect sooner or later"
"Babe, lets give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she has a good reason"

When we got to the house, the garage was open, and Jon's SUV was no where to be found.

I walked in there with such a purpose. I was livid. Hannah and I have done some stupid stuff. But this had to be at the top of the list. All the way up there with her and I streaking through Hockey camp which I eventually got sent home for making out with one of guy campers. I was never a good girl.

"Hannah, where are you?!?!" I yelled in her
"In here" She yelled from the family room.

I walked in, she had a carton of ice cream, and the movie Jerry Maguire on. That were her comfort food and movie. I knew it couldn't be good, if she had those out.

It was about the time when Renee Zellweger tells Tom Cruise "You had me at hello". I looked at Hannah, and she was wiping tears away from her cheek. She was a sucker for Tom Cruise. I knew this wasn't going to be easy. I leaned over and turned off the TV, and grabbed the ice cream from her hands.

"Hey, haven't you heard it isn't good to take food from a pregnant women"
I looked around her, she was surrounded by junk food. Candy, ice cream, chips, pop. All kinds of stuff not good for her.

"You had sex" she said looking at my face, and had this smirk.

"How do you know" I said.
"Rebekah, I know your just got laid face, you have an unnatural glow, and your hair is messed up, and you look a little tired"

"Whatever, this stuff is terrible for you and the baby" I said trying to change the subject, as I picked up, pop cans, chip bags, and wrappers.
"what is going on" I asked going into the kitchen and throwing it away.

"why, are you eating all this junk" I said as Val sat far from the both of us.

"I don't know I was hungry, why are you acting like my mom" Hannah spat back at me.

"because Hannah, your going to be a mom in 7 months, you cant continue acting like this"

"acting like what?" she asked getting pissed at me.

I took a deep breath, think of the words to use when your yelling at a moody pregnant women.

"Huh, Rebekah? acting Immature" She said.

"yes, your acting like your 18, your going to be 24 soon, and well you cant do this. Where's Jon" I asked.

"I don't know, He left after we had a semi huge fight, about well the engagement" She said getting up to go the kitchen.

I dialed Jon's cell, to see where he was. And just like I thought he didn't answer.

"Val, do you think you could find Jon for me" I asked as Val had this uncomfortable look on his face. Val hated confrontation

"No, No, I don't want him here" She said yelling.

"You may not want him, but he needs to be here" I said.

"Yeah sure babe, I have a good feeling where he is" He said as he came over to give me a kiss. And left.

"So was he any good" Hannah asked

"What?" I said confused trying to pick up the remaining mess.

"Val, you evidently had sex, so was he any good" she said walking back into the room.

"Hannah, this isn't about me, this is about you, whats going on?"
"I don't know what your talking about"She said trying to ignore what I was asking.

"come on, why did you say no, you love him, and he loves you to the point he's willing to clean up his mess to make you happy"

"Rebekah, he's only proposing because I'm pregnant"

"Seriously Hannah,you cant seriously believe that, you guys have been together for 3 years, you had to be expecting it for some time. You showed him a ring you like"

"I just feel that its happening to fast, after I have this baby my life is over, no more going out with the team, no more trips, no more anything. And I don't want his proposal to because of me being pregnant"

"Your right, your priorities will change, and well would you rather raise this baby alone, or well have Jon, who will be a amazing father, to help you"

She stared at the ground, and fiddle with her shirt. "He loves you, he did anything and everything to get that huge ring for you"

She looked at me funny. "What do you mean""

"he went back to that jewelry store in Birmingham, and well they didn't have it on hand, so he had to order it and well it cost him a lot"

"O" was all Hannah could say.

"wants to make you happy, and he knows, this baby is well a bump in the road to your happiness, but Hannah, hes willing to try his hardest to make a happy home for you and this baby"

"what if I'm a terrible wife, I'm only 23, I'm so young"

Val's POV

As I drove fast to where Jon usually goes to blow some steam. I knew Jon loved Hannah with every bit of his heart. When he first came to Detroit, all he could talk about was how his girlfriend Hannah was moving from Ontario, to be with him. And how she was perfect, and how gorgeous she was, or how good of a cook she was. It got a little annoying to hear about this girl, but when she came, I saw how happy she made him. I finally didn't realize how happy he felt until I met Rebekah. I couldn't let a relationship of 3 years go down the drain, I had to help Rebekah get them back together.

As I pulled up to the park, where I found a tall black figure standing at this bridge that went across this little river. He was just standing there staring into stars. It was pretty dark, you could see all the stars. I'll have to bring Rebekah here.

As I walked closer, I saw his profile of his face. Jon always came here when he was well troubled, confused, or had a terrible game. It was his happy place. Like my was my secluded beach, his was this bridge.

"Hey" I said as I stood next to him.

"Hey man"

I just stared at the little river as it was frozen over.

"whats up" he asked not taking his eyes off the stars.

"nothing, just had strict orders to come and find you"

He smiled"from Bek"

"yes and she me told not to return with out you"

"I'm guessing you already heard what happened"
"Yes"
"I don't know what happened, one minute I'm laying in bed with her, well after we "

I just nodded know what he was talking about it.

"and well I slipped the ring on her finger as she cuddle up to me, and she was like whats this, and I said a engagement ring, Hannah will you marry me, then she looked me in the eyes and said "No""

I could hear it in his voice, he was deeply hurt. "I don't know what I did, I mean , what do I have to do to make her say yes, she's the only person I can see raising my kids with, and growing old with"

"maybe she's scared"

"Scared of what" he asked.

"Man, she'd only 23, she's pregnant, she hasn't seen her parents in a couple years, her parents really don't approve of you, and well you pop the question a month after she finds out shes pregnant, it sounds like the only reason you asked her is because she's pregnant"

"Val, we've been together for 3 years now, I was gonna ask sooner or later and I guess her getting pregnant just sped up the process" he said as he gave a exhausted breath.

"I love her so much, I just want to make her happy" He said running his hands through his hair.

My Pov.

As I sat in the kitchen with Hannah, she made her and I tea. I hoped my talk with her helped. I couldn't let a relationship of 3 years go down the drain, especially since I hooked them up. I heard the front door open. I saw Hannah's face and whole body tense. I saw Val walk in, with Jon right behind him.

"hey" Jon said as he looked at the floor.

"hey" Hannah replied.

"were gonna be in the next room" I said grabbing Val's hand, leading him into the family room.

Jon's Pov

I just hoped and prayed Val was right. He talked me into coming back to the house, to at least talk things out with Hannah. When I walked in, she was wearing an old Hockey hoodie, and a pair of sweat pants, and to me, Still looked ever so beautiful. As I got closer I could smell her perfume, that I had a custom to for 3 years. Rebekah was sitting there with her sipping tea.

"Hey" I said.

"hey" She replied in a sweet tone.

"were gonna be in the next room" Bek said as she grabbed Val's hand and walked into the family room.

I stood there for awhile, until I finally had to break the silence.

"Hannah, why"
"why Jon? well its just convenient that you asked me to marry you a month after I find out I'm pregnant, and well it just seems like you just want to marry me because your child is in me"
"how could you say that. I love you, I would do anything to keep you, you know that" I said moving to where I was in front of her.

"I know, I just, its all happening so fast, and I'm scared" She said as the tears ran down her face.

I gently grazed my thumb to wipe the tears from her soft cheeks. "Babe scared of what" I said wrapping my hands around her waist.

"I'm scared, once we have this kid, a couple of years down the road your going to leave me for some prettier, skinnier girl, and then what will I do, go back to Canada, no, my parents already hate me for leaving and well I cant hear my dad say 'I told you so Hannah, that Ericsson boy was nothing but trouble'" She said as the tears continued to run down her face.
"Babe, I'll never leave you"

"that's what you say now"
"No, I will never leave you for some other girl, your my girl, my one and only"

She just held me close.

"so lets try this again"I said as I knelt on my knee.

She just looked at me,wiping the tears from her face, and smiling.

"Hannah Isabelle Franklin, Will you marry me" I said looking into her eyes.

She just smiled and then said "Yes"
